The file explorer is the panel that you see on the left side. It is used in many places and behaves the same way.
Empty data
Empty data, just click to add a folder or item.
Folder vs Items
Folders can have children. Non-folder items cannot have children.
Creating a folder
To create a new folder at the root level:
- Right click the empty space below the items.
- Click
Create folderin the dropdown menu.
To create a subfolder:
- Right click a folder.
- Click
Create folderin the dropdown menu.
Shrink and expand
The arrow on the left displays whether to show or hide the child items of the folder
- When the arrow is pointing down, it means the folder items are expanded
- When the arrow is pointing right, it mens the filder items are hidden
Moving items
File explorer is used to move and organize items
- Long press an item to start moving it
- Move the mouse to the position you want it to move to
- You can move to above or below other items
- You can move it inside a folder
Right click
- Right click will show a dropdown menu. It will differ depending on the exact page.
Double click
- Items can be double clicked, it will usually bring a edit form to edit the item
Keyboard shortcuts
Enter: Opens or edits the selected item.↑: Moves to the previous item.↓: Moves to the next item.
When a folder is selected:
←: Shrinks the folder.→: Expands the folder.
