RouteVN Terms of Service

Yuusoft Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yuusoft", "Company", "us", "we", or "our"), a company incorporated in Singapore, operates RouteVN, a service accessible at https://routevn.com (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

Your use of the Service is subject to this Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, available at https://routevn.com/agreement/privacy-policy.

2. Eligibility and Account Requirements

Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. We may require age verification through appropriate documentation or third-party verification services for accessing age-restricted content.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and ensuring the confidentiality of your login credentials. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to secure your account.
Prohibited Use: You must not use the Service for any unlawful purposes or violate any applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to copyright and trademark laws.

3. Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive communications from us, including newsletters, promotions, and updates. You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time by following the instructions in the emails or by updating your preferences in your profile.

4. Feature specific

RouteVN is divided different sections:

RouteVN Store: A platform for discovering, purchasing, and reading visual novels.
RouteVN Creator: A platform for creating visual novels.
RouteVN Publisher: A platform for distributing visual novels.

4.1 RouteVN Store

4.1.1 The RouteVN Store allows users to purchase and access visual novels created by other users.
4.1.2 You acknowledge and agree that all title, ownership rights and intellectual property rights connected with the Service platform and infrastructure (including but not limited to any computer code, interface elements, logos, trademarks, and system design) are the property of Yuusoft. Content created by third parties and made available through the Service remains the intellectual property of their respective owners, subject to the licenses granted herein.
4.1.3 When you rightfully obtain or purchase content through the Service, you are granted a non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable license to access and use the content for personal, non-commercial purposes.
4.1.4 Prohibited Actions: You agree not to, and will not permit others to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code or underlying algorithms of any content obtained through the Service.
- Hack, tamper with, or circumvent any security features, protection mechanisms, or digital rights management technologies implemented in the content.
- Redistribute, resell, lease, rent, loan, share, or otherwise transfer access to the content to any third party.
4.1.5 Modification Rights: RouteVN reserves the right to modify, update, or alter the content or its delivery method for technical compatibility, security purposes, bug fixes, or to comply with legal requirements. Such modifications will be made in a manner that strives to preserve the core experience and value of the content you have purchased.
4.1.6 Content Warning and Age Restrictions: Some content available in the RouteVN Store may be age-restricted or contain mature themes such as violence, psychological content, or other sensitive topics. We will provide clear warnings and display relevant information about such content before you make a purchase or begin reading a visual novel.
4.1.7 User Responsibility: It is your responsibility to review these warnings and determine whether the content is appropriate for you. We do not take responsibility for any distress or negative experiences arising from the content you choose to access.

4.2 RouteVN Creator

4.2.1 RouteVN Creator provides the tools for users to upload media such as images, character design, graphical user interfaces, sound and music, text scripts in order to create their own visual novels.
4.2.2 You are responsible for ensuring that you rightfully own or have permission any content that you upload or produce in RouteVN Creator and that it complies with the relevant laws including copyright and trademark laws.
4.2.3 RouteVN does not claim any right or ownership of any content that you rightfully uploaded or created on RouteVN Creator.

4.3 RouteVN Publisher

If you wish to use RouteVN Publisher, you will need to agree to a separate RouteVN Distribution Agreement

5. User Generated Content (UGC)

Definition: UGC includes any content you upload to your account, post in comments, leave in reviews, or contribute in any other form on the Service that is publicly visible. Visual Novel content created using RouteVN Creator is not considered UGC as it is not publicly visible.
License: By uploading or creating UGC, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, create derivative works, display, perform, and distribute your content.

6. Purchase

If you wish to purchase any product or service made available through Service ("Purchase"), you may be asked to supply certain information relevant to your Purchase including, without limitation, your payment details, billing address, and country of residence.

We may employ the use of third party services for the purpose of facilitating payment and the completion of Purchases. By submitting your information, you grant us the right to provide the information to these third parties subject to our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel your order at any time for reasons including but not limited to: product or service availability, errors in the description or price of the product or service, error in your order or other reasons.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel your order if fraud or an unauthorized or illegal transaction is suspected.

7. Refund

Due to the nature of digital content being easily reproducible once downloaded, refunds are generally not provided for purchases made through our Service.

Prior to each purchase, you will be presented with a notice regarding our refund policy.

However, we may consider refund requests submitted within 7 days of purchase under the following exceptional circumstances:

Technical malfunction preventing the proper functioning of the purchased content
Significant discrepancy between the product description and the actual content delivered

To request a refund, please submit a detailed explanation of your circumstances along with supporting evidence to [email protected].

RouteVN maintains sole discretion in evaluating and determining the validity of refund requests based on the criteria outlined above.

8. Intellectual Property

Service, features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Yuusoft Pte. Ltd. and its respective owners. Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of the Republic of Singapore and foreign countries. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Yuusoft Pte. Ltd..

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of Terms.

If you wish to terminate your account, you may request account deletion by contacting [email protected]. Upon account termination:

Your personal information will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy
Your purchased content licenses will remain valid and accessible for download for 30 days
Your account data will be permanently deleted after 90 days
User-generated content you've published will remain on the platform unless specifically requested for removal

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Republic of Singapore without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding Service.

11. Links To Other Web Sites

Our Service may contain links to third party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by Yuusoft Pte. Ltd..

Yuusoft Pte. Ltd. has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services. We do not warrant the offerings of any of these entities/individuals or their websites.

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YUUSOFT PTE. LTD. SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FOR ANY DAMAGE OR LOSS CAUSED OR ALLEGED TO BE CAUSED BY OR IN CONNECTION WITH USE OF OR RELIANCE ON ANY SUCH CONTENT, GOODS OR SERVICES AVAILABLE ON OR THROUGH ANY SUCH THIRD PARTY WEB SITES OR SERVICES.

WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO READ THE TERMS OF SERVICE AND PRIVACY POLICIES OF ANY THIRD PARTY WEB SITES OR SERVICES THAT YOU VISIT.

12. Disclaimer Of Warranty

THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BY COMPANY ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. COMPANY MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE OPERATION OF THEIR SERVICES, OR THE INFORMATION, CONTENT OR MATERIALS INCLUDED THEREIN. YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THESE SERVICES, THEIR CONTENT, AND ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED FROM US IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

NEITHER COMPANY NOR ANY PERSON ASSOCIATED WITH COMPANY MAKES ANY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION WITH RESPECT TO THE COMPLETENESS, SECURITY, RELIABILITY, QUALITY, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY OF THE SERVICES. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, NEITHER COMPANY NOR ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH COMPANY REPRESENTS OR WARRANTS THAT THE SERVICES, THEIR CONTENT, OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, ERROR-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, THAT THE SERVICES OR THE SERVER THAT MAKES IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS OR THAT THE SERVICES OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL OTHERWISE MEET YOUR NEEDS OR EXPECTATIONS.

COMPANY HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

THE FOREGOING DOES NOT AFFECT ANY WARRANTIES WHICH CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

13. Limitation of liability

Except as prohibited by law, you will hold us and our officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental, or consequential damage, however it arises (including attorneys' fees and all related costs and expenses of litigation and arbitration, or at trial or on appeal, if any, whether or not litigation or arbitration is instituted), whether in an action of contract, negligence, or other tortious action, or arising out of or in connection with this agreement, including without limitation any claim for personal injury or property damage, arising from this agreement and any violation by you of any federal, state or local laws, statutes, rules, or regulations, even if Company has been previously advised of the possibility of such damage. Except as prohibited by law, if there is liability found on the part of the Company, it will be limited to the amount paid for the products and/or services, and under no circumstances will there be consequential or punitive damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of punitive, incidental or consequential damages, so the prior limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

14. Changes To Service

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend our Service, and any service or material we provide via Service, in our sole discretion without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason all or any part of Service is unavailable at any time or for any period. From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of Service, or the entire Service, to users, including registered users.

15. Amendments To Terms

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any revisions will be posted on our website at https://routevn.com/agreement. Additionally, we maintain a historical archive of all versions of this Privacy Policy, ensuring full transparency regarding past changes. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes. You are expected to check this page frequently so you are aware of any changes, as they are binding on you.

By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use Service.

16. Force Majeure

Neither party will be liable for failure or delay in performance to the extent caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, terrorism, riots, or war.

17. Acknowledgement

BY USING SERVICE OR OTHER SERVICES RELATED TO ROUTEVN, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM.
